toiled in beer production purgatory following the repeal of Prohibition, all of that began to change when President Jimmy Carter signed a small but groundbreaking bill, making homebrewing legal. You can skip our detailed analysis of the rising popularity of craft beer, the domestic production of Sapporo beers, and the entrance of a beverage giant in craft, and go directly to 5 Best Craft Breweries in America. Enjoy. In this article, we are going to discuss the 20 best craft breweries in America. We did enjoy the restaurant at Paso Robles too. I also wanted to share that the tasting room in their Paso Robles location opens at 10:00 while their restaurant opens at 11:00. I hadn't heard of many of the beers at Barrelworks that they offered.

So for my visit they had a lot of extra beers available at Barrelworks that I hadn't anticipated otherwise I would've spent much more time there. Before going I looked on their website to see what was being served at the Barrelworks location but the list of beers online seemed like it was only 33% of what they were actually serving.

I talked the wife into allowing me to quickly "pickup" a couple bottles at Barrelworks as we headed south from Paso Robles (I got a bottle of Feral One and Sour Opal) and since they had Maltose Falcon on tap I slammed one down while the cashier "rang me up". I basically ran out of time for Barrelworks (I really only spent 5 minutes there) because I blew my whole load at the Paso Robles location. Mostly though I wanted to say that I was disappointed that I didn't allow more time to spend at their Barrelworks location in Buellton. First off, such good beer, and the 3 oz pours are sooooo cheap….$2-3 each. I just went to Firestone Walker (both the Barrelworks and the Paso Robles locations) and wanted to share a few things with you about the experience. Keep in mind that SARA doesn't serve any food at the brewery.
